Thanksgiving 2013

It is Thanksgiving Day today.  Here at the Ramsey household it is a day of reflection of what we are thankful for.  My wife’s grandmother started a tradition where we each go around the table and say what we are thankful for.

This year I have many things that I am thankful for.  I am thankful for my son.  This year is his senior year at high school and  I am not only proud of what he has done on the field playing soccer and kicking for the football team.  I am proud that he found his calling.  He has been studying to be a nurse since his junior year.  His dream job is to work on life flight.  I think it is amazing that he choose a career that is about helping others.

I am thankful for my wife who is always there to help others also.  She volunteers for multiple Parent Student Teacher Associations (PSTA) and the Barberton Youth Soccer Association (BYSA).  I love to see her smile when she is in the moment helping the kids in the programs.

I am thankful for my two youngest children also.  They are in that wonderful time of life where they are being kids.  Both of them are great team players playing soccer.  Devin is playing indoor soccer this winter and Skylar is playing Basketball and both do their best.  It is amazing to see how much they have changed throughout the year.
