Reflecting on 2013
Posted: January 1, 2014 Filed under: Civic Hacking, Personal, Speaking, SQLSaturday Leave a commentI personally find it beneficial to take a moment this time of year to reflect on the previous year. It gives me a chance to see where I have been and make adjustments to keep on track for the next year.
Collecting System Information with PowerShell

I had handed index cards and asked everyone to write an example of what they would like to see PowerShell do. Bellow is an example of one of the index cards that I had collected. The the idea was good in theory. However, I will be pulling it from my next presentation.
It was a day of first
Posted: October 8, 2012 Filed under: Speaking, SQLSaturday 1 CommentIt was a day of first on Saturday. It was the first time I presented at a SQL Saturday ( http://sqlsaturday.com/ ) and it was the first time the Pittsburgh User Group ( http://pitssug.sqlpass.org/Home.aspx ) organized a SQL Saturday ( http://sqlsaturday.com/171/eventhome.aspx ). It was an amazing event for their fist time and I took many notes for things that we need to do when the Ohio North User Group ( http://www.ohionorthsqlserverug.org/ ) does a SQL Saturday again.

Back in August was the first time I ever gave a presentation to a group of my peers. It was a great learning experience. This month I will get a chance to do it a few more times.
